What is Yes! We Care?
On Saturday May 31, get your old cleaning clothes and work boots as we blitz Brisbane. Let's make 2008 even bigger and better as we show Brisbane we care and impact the city with the love of God.
In 2007, we were able to help over 600 homes in the greater Brisbane region, as we went into people's homes and backyards to clean, remove rubbish, do minor repairs to the home, fences etc. This year, our we aim to assist over 1,000 homes!
Yes We Care is an opportunity for the churches of the Greater Brisbane region to cooperate together and give something to the community. It is an opportunity to have a corporate impact on our society. See One Church, Many Locations
Yes We Care is Local Church Based
Yes We Care is structured around the local church and churches are encouraged to register. Zone coordinators will work with local churches to form teams to which needy homes will be assigned to help. Some Churches have continued the contact with these homes on an on-going basis if the people require it.
There are a number of advertising resources available to promote Yes We Care in your church or among your friends.

What People Said About YWC 2007
Yes We Care - the day itself
On the actual day of the Yes We Care event, church based teams can meet at their church or at the local Zone Assembly point. Each team is assigned two or three homes to do the pre-arranged work. Team leaders should be aware of the procedures that have been put in place.
Each volunteer needs to sign a Volunteer's registration form for each home visited. These forms are part of the kit for each household that each team leader should have. This is important so we can investigate any issues that may arise from the day's event.
Teams work at each household assigned to them for 1-2 hours and then move on to the next home. We want to bless as many people as we can in the morning's activities.
At the end of the morning's assignments, volunteers can assemble at the Zone Assembly Point for the free barbecue lunch that will be provided by Yes We Care. This is an opportunity to share with others you experiences and return the documentation for the homes visited.
Yes We Care is an initiative of the Briznet Partnership
