Team Leaders
The team leader is pivotal in the Yes! We Care program. The team leader (and the team) represent the church of Jesus Christ to the clients they are allocated to serve.
More Than Just A Job
Yes! We Care is as much about establishing relationships as it is to serve and help needy people. For this reason, we prefer each team leader to visit their allocated client PRIOR to the Yes! We Care day. This facilitates planning the actual work, but it also gives the team leader an opportunity to relate to the client and establish some sort of rapport with them.
Responsibilities
As team leader, ensure your team is equipped for the tasks to be done and supervise the team in terms of conduct towards the client, especially any children who may accompany adults on the team. Respect the wishes of the client.
Zone Barbeque
After the morning work has been completed, it is desirable for the team to return to the Zone Assembly point to participate in the Zone Barbeque and wind up. Depending on the Zone arrangements, there may well be an opportunity to share and encourage other Yes! We Care team members by telling of special experiences and opportunities.
Client Job Sheets
All Client Job Sheets should be returned to the Zone Coordinator, preferably at the Zone Assembly location after the work has been completed.
